Original layout study · directory design
Start with an area overview
Give each location page a short orientation before the results. State the area covered and make the category navigation visible. A visitor should understand whether they are looking at an entire city, a neighbourhood or a filtered set of venues.
Keep the detail page scannable
Separate address and practical facts from a longer description. Use clear headings for each section. Keep factual fields consistent across listings so visitors can compare them without learning a new page structure each time.
Give search states their own design
Results, no results, partial information and an unavailable map each need a useful response. Keep the chosen filters visible and let the user change one choice at a time. A clear recovery path matters more than an elaborate empty-state illustration.
