Give the collection a clear introduction
A smaller catalogue benefits from a deliberate order. Group products by the way someone chooses them, then use a concise collection description to orient the visitor. Keep editorial photography separate from product imagery so the two jobs remain clear.
Put useful details near the image
Reserve space for size, material, quantity or other practical attributes. Descriptions should make sense without a promotional headline. In a beauty catalogue, present verified product information and avoid adding unsupported health claims as design filler.
Design the comparison state
Several products should fit on a narrow screen without unreadably small labels. Let images keep their proportions and allow names to wrap. Test a category containing only two products as well as one with several rows.
