Name the thing clearly
Lead with a descriptive name, a useful image and a concise explanation of what is included. Keep the decision-making information close together. A decorative campaign headline should not replace the actual product name.
Separate facts from styling
Set aside readable space for sizes, formats, compatibility or contents. Use the same order across similar products. Mark illustrative example data clearly, and do not use made-up availability or testimonials to fill a design.
Account for every state
A variation may be unavailable, a description may be long and a product may have one image instead of five. Design these cases deliberately. A catalogue should remain useful even when the ideal demo data is absent.
